To the Reader

This is what I’ve been searching for

Will it win wealth? Win fame?

Win money? Win glory? Creator

Magnificent your thunderous splendor

Over men and beasts you reign

Over bread and beer you reign

It is peace I pray for

Liberation from evildoers

The false and the wicked

The city and the homestead

Alike are indebted to you

For the Beast is slain through you

Bestow blessings upon my book

Upon yourself due praise will rain
